 The Colors of Us
by Karen Katz

This is a great book that my children LOVE!  It follows the story of a little girl, Lena, and her mother walking through their neighborhood visiting all their neighborhood friends.

The mom points out how everyone has a different color.
And Lena comes home and colors them all…
Chocolate, peachy, coffee, toffee, cinnamon butterscotch!

I like this book especially at the preschool age when children are starting to realize that not everyone looks like them.

ABC Bible Verses

I am linking up with Feed me Books Friday over at
Adventure in Motherhood
(The theme this week is puzzle books.  We have puzzles, and we have books…but we don’t have any puzzle books)
Just kidding… Janna let me know that there is no theme!  HA!

So here is my recommendation of the week!

My ABC Bible Verses

This is a GREAT book.
It has been on my list of books to buy for a while, and I think I bought it at the perfect time for the ages of my children.

It goes through a scripture verse for each letter of the alphabet,
then shares a great story that really applies
to the preschool age children.

The verses are so applicable for parenting and discipline issues with this age.  We are up to Letter “D” And I have found my children really catching on to the lessons, applying biblical principles and learning the scripture verses surprisingly quickly.

It has been great for me too in my own scripture memory, and great accountability in my parenting that I am calling them to live according to God’s word, not just mommy’s “rules”.

You can Find My ABC Bible Verses  by Susan Hunt on Amazon
And make sure to visit Adventure in Motherhood

Feed Me Books: Love

I am joining in with Feed Me Books Friday
over at Adventures in Motherhood

This week the theme was children’s books about Love.

Most of All Jesus Loves You by Noel Piper: Book Cover

Most of all'>Most of All Jesus Loves You!
by Noel Piper

This is a great book about Jesus Loving us.
My children love this book!
(so much so that we have a few torn very well loved pages)

It goes through all the family members, friends, teachers
and tells the child how much they are loved.
But in the end, it shares that Jesus loves you MOST OF ALL!

What a sweet message, and SO true.
A reminder that even we adults need to hear too, don’t you think?

Hope you all have a Great Weekend!

Feed me Books Friday

I am joining in with Feed me Books Friday

Over at The Adventures in Motherhood
~~~
Below are some of our favorite bedtime books at the moment.
Snip Snap Croc by Caroline Castle: Book Cover
First up is Snip Snap Croc
This is one of my children's favorite books lately.
They love the mamas and their babies and the rhyming of the words.
Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Caralyn Buehner: Book Cover
Next we have Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Of course this is pretty much the classic story…
But with captivating illustrations some creative additions to the text.
Llama, Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney: Book Cover
And my list of good-reads wouldn't be complete without
LLama Llama Red Pajama
This is surely a classic in our herd of Llamas!
Happy reading… hop on over to Adventures in Motherhood to link up and share some of YOUR favorite Children’s books.  Maybe share a few of your top Library finds this week?
I am looking forward to finding some new books to add to my list!
